I have read all of the books, read the reviews, and concluded that the one negative review is full of themselves respecting knowledge and experience in the area of BDSM. I happen to know “the real name” of the author and it is non-other than the owner of the Chateau in Los Angeles which operated for 32 years. He is an experienced Practicer of BDSM and among his playmates, you can include Bettie page, June King, Karen and others. He had done outrageous things and played wonderful and sometimes dangerous games with submissive women. Dozens of who worked for him over the 32 years of the Chateau. Also among the numbers of submissive women, you must include his own lovely person slave of 30 years with whom he did wonderful things in various places around the world.
Therefore, I think the writer of the second review needs to take stock in himself or herself as it seems that all the author was attempting to do was inform the readers. I have also read the other six books and find that his growth and expansion of the various characters is wonderful. Slowly he includes fantasies of various real live individuals being fulfilled in writing as most of them will never be fulfilled in reality nor does the dreamer wish for them to be realized in reality, they are just sexual fantasies.
The cover of Book Seven is of a young lady who practices dangerous “self hanging” by using a rope she holds onto and which is looped around the other rope to make it possible for her to reach the point where is is standing on her toes strangling until she passes out. At which point she releases the rope and it turns and turns around the other rope until it totally releases and she falls to the floor and regains consciousness as the rope is not totally tight around her neck. She sometimes has a friend watch her for safety. Another young women in Australia did it a little different. She would tie her hands behind her back with loose slip knots and have the noose rope around two rope ties above and below her breasts, naked in the woods. Again same set up the noose had to come away from her hand and around the ropes tied above and below her breasts, which dropped her to the ground and she could wake up and get loose as the slip knots no longer had any tension on them. Again danger if the rope did not slip, or the slip knots did not come loose. The first danger happened and she was found hanging by her neck, dead, several hours after going for “a walk in the woods”.
