I was skeptical about a new story about Dracula, turns out this is the story of Dracula before, during, and after Bram Stokers novel. Awesome how vampire mythology is used to show Dracula was not killed by the Texas bowie knife. The character of the devil is complex, intelligent, and extremely evil. The most amazing part of it all is how the Ark of the Covenant is used to tie everything together and reveal the larger picture that even the devil failed to see. The book is full of mystery, adventure, horror, romance, and best of all, vampires!

    Bizarre recommendation, October 31, 2009

This book was recommended to me by Amazon r/t my interest in the historical Vlad. Why? This has nothing to do with the living breathing man. And the writing is horrible (I base this on the “look inside” feature). “…loose [sic] his life”? That simple but glaring error tells all. And here’s a stunning revelation: Vlad III Dracula was NOT a vampire.

This new version of what happened before and after Bram Stokers novel is awesome. Dracula defiantly hooked up with some strange women and they knew how to dominate!
As far as the story, I feel Vlad the III got the bums rush. The Devil temps him with life only to control and manipulate him. Dracula is a sad character full of flaws and wants. I think that a good story has a good hero, but a great story has a captivating villain.
No doubt, this book is loaded with sexuality, but it’s also loaded with a fantastic story.
Something else I like, the story moves on. Not a long novel, but the pace keeps the reader wanting more, and the author delivers.
